Netoye Nu Paradis – Palmar Beach 2018 was held on 08 April 2018.
Project Director Sundeep Ruchchan as well as JCI City Plus Local Vice Presidents Varuna Govinden, Vijayen Govinden, Members Varsha Boodhoo and Jivesh Tulsidas, took the lead to clean up Palmar beach. Over 16 bags of rubbish were collected by the cleaning team.
Palmar beach was littered with rubbish like old clothes, plastic bottles, beer cans.
This project has demonstrated that many of the beaches in Mauritius are polluted with solid waste/ Many of them like plastics do great damage to marine life, hereby hampering UN SDG 14 (Life under Water).
