2014 JCI Mauritius Creative Young Entrepreneur Award

2014 JCI Mauritius Creative Young Entrepreneur Award

by Roumesh Oomah / Saturday, 15 March 2014 / Published in UN MDG

Entrepreneurs make a difference. They not only have great ideas, but also the drive to make them a reality. They use their fresh thinking and hard work to create positive social change – bringing new concepts and products to market, and creating jobs and wealth.

As mentioned in the 2014-2018 JCI Strategic Plan “Similar to Active Citizenship, entrepreneurship is about taking action and creating solutions in a profession and responsible way. In this way, entrepreneurship is not just about starting a business. It embraces the principles of Active Citizenship in the business sector. Due to the ideals of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurs are excellent candidates for leadership positions in all sectors of society. Entrepreneurs are active citizens.”

The 2014 JCI Mauritius Creative Young Entrepreneur Award is back this year to find the rare pearl, who could share his/her stories, inspire others and receive the recognition he/she deserves for doing business in an active citizenship way.

The 2014 JCI Mauritius CYEA team will work hard to have a platform of entrepreneurs within all the different business sectors to participate thereby enhancing the level of the competition and at the same time promoting JCI amongst the entrepreneurs.
