As Nelson Mandela has rightly said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” We initiated this campaign with the firm belief that education and empowerment will help bring a positive impact on the victims and their surroundings. As a matter of fact, further to the various Editions that were held last year, many of the communities we met were delighted with the help and advice that were imparted. This year we intend to pursue the good work by reaching out more communities.
Ediker pu Eradiker: Dibout pu to drwa is an interactive session with the people whereby they will be able to share their issues/concerns/queries. The main topic will focus on domestic violence but will also address other relating issues to the matter. Keeping the sustainability issue in mind, the project will be carried out jointly with the NGO Mafubo Mauritius, whose main focus is women empowerment. They have been giving us a helping hand since last year and will continue to do so this year.
The first edition of Ediker pu Eradiker – Dibout pu to drwa was held on 07 April 2018 at Cite St Catherine St Pierre.
JCI City Plus in collaboration with Mafubo Mauritius and ENL Foundation had a good interactive session with the inhabitants of Cite St Catherine on social issues like domestic violence and drug abuse.
