2017 Local President Message

Dear Young Leaders,

Greetings from the 2017 JCI City Plus Local President.

The year 2017 will mark the 10th Anniversary of JCI City Plus. Ten years is both a long and a very short time. Compared to the other Local Organisations in Mauritius, we are still young. Having distinguished itself in many areas over the years, JCI City Plus has ample reasons to celebrate its legacy that continues to inspire us to create a better tomorrow.

2017 will also be the third year of implementation of the 2015-2018 JCI City Plus Strategic Plan. Our Plan of Action is based on evaluating the progress of the strategic plan so far and laying the remaining groundwork needed to achieve our strategic goals by the end of 2018 and help JCI City Plus become the leading organisation that unites all sectors of the society.

But, to be able to sustain our operations, administration and achieve our goals, we need the dedication, commitment and passion of each of the members, senators and aspiring members.
You hold the power to ignite the change and make sure that our JCI principles are respected at all times. After all, in the years to come, we will not be evaluated by the goals we achieved, but by how we pursued them.

On behalf of the 2017 JCI City Plus Board of Directors, I would like to thank you for your most valuable inputs in writing up the 2017 JCI City Plus Plan of Action. We strongly rely on your usual collaboration, team spirit and passion to implement the actions steps in 2017.

Driven by our motto “Lead With Passion”, let’s us all make 2017 a year of celebrations, development opportunities, accomplishments and sustainable impact.
