JCI City Plus along with JCI Mauritius are pleased to announce that the application for the 2023 JCI Mauritius Creative Young Entrepreneur Program will be open as from 29 June 2023 and we fervently urge young people of Mauritius to preserve their convictions.
The JCI Mauritius Creative Young Entrepreneur (CYE) Program, under the theme ‘TO KREATIVITE FER LA DIFERANS’, supports, recognizes, and awards extraordinary young people between the ages of 18 and 40 who successfully developed and implemented their business idea or concept. JCI Mauritius is eager to encourage innovative young entrepreneurs through this project as enthusiastic people who seized the chance to launch a new firm or have enhanced an already existing one. Also, this flagship event of JCI Mauritius serves as a venue for networking for businesspeople, collaborators, and the public.
WHO IS THE COMPETITION LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for Creative Young Entrepreneurs who have started a new business using creativity in product development, service development, and their approach to the market. Or, they have taken an existing business and incorporated creativity to solve a problem, or change a process, to create positive change in their business operations. Our communities are full of young entrepreneurs who have used their imagination in solving problems and approaching the market. Our efforts in promoting this contest will assist in learning about, and honoring, these young entrepreneurs in our community.
PARTICIPATION CRITERIA
Applications are reserved for residents of the Republic of Mauritius and be present in Mauritius during the judging process and for the Awards’ Ceremony.
Applications are reserved for individuals aged between 18 to 40 years old.
JCI members who are not part of the 2023 JCI Mauritius CYE organizing team can participate.
Businesses must already be active (Minimum 3 months) either a new business or have improved an existing one.
Participants must provide a strong business plan, with realistic budget figures and other supporting evidence.
In case participants are selected for an interview, they need to have the ability to present and speak about their business goals in an articulated manner.
Past CYE participants can apply excluding winners.
Only for-profit businesses may apply.
BENEFITS OF PARTICIPATING
The winner will receive a cash prize that will aid in the promotion of the business.
The participants will enhance their personal and business profiles through increased PR coverage.
The participants will showcase their business which may lead to partnership or funding.
