JCI City Plus recently hosted an insightful workshop on Emotional Resilience for Leaders, guided by Senator Bruneau Woomed. We explored the stages of resilience, identified its depletors, and learned practical tools to build it. Most importantly, we discovered the power of reframing our mindset in the face of challenges.
Emotions are important contributors to resilience and is the ability to manage and cope with emotional stressors, remain balanced, becoming strengthened and more resourceful. Resilient leaders possess a high degree of emotional intelligence, enabling them to understand and manage both their own emotions and those of others.
Emotional resilience is particularly important in times of stress and adversity where it becomes a determining factor in creating a healthy and sustainable organisation. Indeed, this heightened emotional awareness fosters effective communication, enhances collaboration, and builds strong relationships within the organizational framework.
